who am i?

My photo
A girl who looks innocent on the outside but truly fiery inside. One who loves procrastinating, fell in love with lobsters dipped in melt butter, spaghetti with extra cheese, and not to forget crab accompanied with chilli shrimps. Her most fond weaknesses: a forgetful nature and a hopeless directions-giver even in places she's supposed to be familiar with.

chicago's icon:the bean

Millenium Park came next. We had a chance to witness chicago's icon: The Bean. Its highly polished stainless steel surface gives the look of liquid mercury.Up close, the highly reflective nature of the sculpture captures the beautiful skyline of Chicago.
Its pretty cool the artist is able to draw out the skyline exactly continuos from the reflection of The Bean.

Because of my mom's insistence, we all wake up at 11 in the morning to attend my brother's graduation mass at the church of De Paul. The ceremony is so grand, added with the orchestra music playing along as the graduates came in the entrance. It was certainly worth the lost sleep at home :P

When the mass ended, we went for a lunch at chipotle, mexican food, yummy. My mom had a burrito wrap, while i had the same fillings in taco chips served with salsa sauce.

I now learnt one thing about American's tipping system.

For restaurants that no one serves you, no waitress, you do not need to pay tips. If u're served, its a tradition to pay tips. 15%of your whole bill if u're very satisfied.. 10% means you're not.

And if you don't pay any tips?U have to clean up after yourselves. Meaning: cleaning the table and throwing your wrappers away. Cool right? 1 more thing, Americans love to do things their way:

1.the driver's seat is on the left

2.u choose your ingredients when u order for food

3. you can turn right on red light
4.the motorcycles have their own lane just like a car. That means no mat rempit, cuz they can't swerve between lanes.

At the end of the day, we went to watch the blue man group perform. They're a bunch of vivacious and creative man trying to create music with rubber pipes and plastic pails. Its pretty cool they could engage the audience attention and get them to engage in some rock moves. Besides, different sounds are created by these pipes.. according to their length and width. All performance ticket collection even goes to charity.
