who am i?

My photo
A girl who looks innocent on the outside but truly fiery inside. One who loves procrastinating, fell in love with lobsters dipped in melt butter, spaghetti with extra cheese, and not to forget crab accompanied with chilli shrimps. Her most fond weaknesses: a forgetful nature and a hopeless directions-giver even in places she's supposed to be familiar with.

Christmas, Christmas where are you??

Will Santa creep into my room and leave me my presents today? how i wish it would really happen. I'll even consider that a miracle^ ^

It's christmas eve and i've not even got the jolly mood for christmas yet.. sigh.. How i wish to be a little girl again, where i'll receive presents from my relatives and friends. How does Jesus looks when he was wrapped in a tiny bundle in a manger?? still smiling with that innocent glow in his face?? I'm starting to wonder, right at that moment did he know the purpose why he was sent to this world?? awwww!! so cute!! Maybe i should make a wish that I'll be able to do a plastic surgery and change my face into that of a baby. So adorable that i feel like hugging him in my arms and protect him.

A few days ago, i went out with someone i used to like without any expectations in mind. After meeting him for another movie date, i feel so jumpy, excited and all smiling. What is wrong with me?? Are those feelings making a comeback?? The fact that he still kept the movie tickets we first went out made me so touched. will he always surprise me that way? I feel so clueless. I'm so darn confuse about my feelings. I hate to admit this, you still have that effect on me. *helpless*

Avatar is a great movie. Lo and behold, a science fiction that attracts me in it's own ways. i didn't really expect any romance to appear in it. Yee Voon, sorry i said that to you:> it's a nice movie by the way..just a little long winded.

OMG yee voon!! hehe sorry my reaction's abit slow..hhaha.. u guys should check out this link.http://www.imasocialanimal.blogpsot.com/
i can't believe this, same blogspot address but check out the contradicting add(social animal) then the posts in it.

Words Uttered Out of a SIncere Heart Touches The Soul

"have you guys prayed while i've been away, folks??"asked the priest
"I have prayed for months for food since christmas is just around the corner while i have so many hungry children to feed. And then a miracle happened, God sent you guys to come with a truckload of rice for us. I'm so very thankful." Mak Ros-the leader of the Aborigines family of Batu tiga. Sincerely that really touched our hearts for us city people to travel so far from KL to Kuantan just to give them a short visit. The smiles on their faces were more than enough for us i guess:> Although the christmas songs we've presented to them weren't truly practiced well, p.s: our bad!(we even forgot the lyrics at one end), they helped us to fill in the blanks. In the end, it is not the long journey that matters, but the smiles we've lighted up on their lives that count.

It was certainly a queer sight for me as i noticed there are only women in the household. Where are the men?? Then i learnt, these folks' husbands, the breadwinners are away working overseas like in Singapore, Thailand and so on. As we all know when guys have success and riches, some would result in having affairs and even mistresses. When these happen, the wives at home are left abandoned without anyone to take care of their welfare.

There was once this husband who left for a logging company in Thailand. Needless to say what our fair neighbours are famous with, yes u guessed it!- prostitutes(in better words, service providers) He had a one night stand with a hooker and alas! He contracted AIDS from her. It's even sadder to hear that his one mistake has costed two innocent babies of his to contract this scary disease too. BABIES!!! Can you feel my outrage?? They're so innocent, why should they be punished by their father's mistake??

And then all of us RYM youth members went for our dinner, at 10:( sad empty stomachs
shall upload the pictures soon when the cameramen have uploaded theirs.

08's 5 akik gathering

Vanessa and I:>
What will happen when all 15 girls who have not met for a whole year gathers together??
havoc? chaos?
The first minute i stepped into their sights, wow!! CARRRRYYYYNNN!! That high pitched voice, easily distinguished amongst others screaming for me..hui chi..Miss you all so much!!lol..I wonder whether i was that popular in my class before this. Mind you, it's in Wong Kok Chan Teng...and everyone was eating happily until the screams started...OMG..my presence turned heads..this is bad:(

1st row from left to right* jia woon*Yen Yee*Yee teng*Pei san*Jennifer Eng*Hoi yee*Chen Li*
2nd row: *Pui Kei*Stephanie*Hui chi*Shu shyan*Vanessa*Yee Voon*Me*
Besties forever!! hm..too bad this pic lacked Geshie and Anith..

Absolutely miss u guys: pui kei, Pei san, Jia woon and Chen li..they never could fail from making me burst into laughter. Pei San provided us with daily scoops of gossips from our past classmates' love life. It's absolutely hilarious and wonderful how some people can change dramatically once they have a boyfriend, especially Wai yen. I do admire my lil' friend's courage, i guess i'll never dare to go up to a random hunk at an LRT station and ask for his number.

Bad day=bad mood

Wow!! time flies by so fast. A year has gone since i've started attending college. I HAte KTM i hate Ktm i hate KTM...It's such a nuissance being squeezed like a lemon ready for juicing. Goodness, it's only my third time taking it, and i'm already so sick and tired of it. Samuel, Mei Cheen, it's only now i understand your misery. Worse thing is, because i had not much place to actually stand on, i lost my balance and almost fell into a guy's laps..eewww!! Thank god, i found my balance back again.

Seriously, teenagers nowadays, can really be very disappointing. If they want pleasure or fun or trying something new, go pick up a sport and have all the fun they want. Why get involved in stupid stuffs like smoking, drugs and other vices??Just saw a 15 year old guy smoking like a chimney and that really makes me sigh...

hehe:> time to drool at these steaming hot bodies:> Jacob has the best ones... I am so looking forward to watch NEW MOON... p.s: and drool at jacob's body...Director, please remove the attention away from Robbert Pattinson.

When luck turns its back on us

How i wish i could just lie down on the wide green pasture, look at the sky and think about nothing else. He has smiling eyes..eyes that captured my attention and the wistful expression on his face. Another eye candy for the pleasure of my eyes and all:>

At night, all is well, joined and united. When daylight comes, the stark reality that broken and hurtful feelings well up to the surface...like a wound open up again. Then again, this piece of furniture is so unique and functional:>

My heart lifted when my parents suggested a movie outing yesterday. Determined as we all were, we fought through the jam and reached Mid valley..And then we realise: there's no more parking. *lets out a great sigh*
That couldn't stop us three who wanted to see how the world would end in 2012, we headed off to tropicana city mall instead. Even a long line to the movie counter did not stop us and guess what?? There are no more tickets available for the movie we wanted:< *frowns even more deeply* Guess even God is against us in watching this movie.. or maybe maybe looking at the bright side, the world is not coming into an end after all??

Disappointing trials results

could you believe this eye candy here is actually supposed to act as edward in the twilight saga??
His name is Gaspard Ulliel by the way.

Instead of this homeless guy here??
Robert Pattinson

My brother's wearing a bra strap.Oops! That was just a slip of my tongue. Haha it's actually his heart rate monitor strapped onto his chest.

Finally the DooMSday came, on Friday. Madam Chong was gonna give out our acccounting paper. Purposely took some cadbury sweets hoping the glucose could calm me down. Alas! the results came, and i lost my bet-(he'll get 89 or above for acc) to Soon Wei. The loser will have to spend the other two scoops of Haagen Daaz ice cream. There goes almost two days worth of pocket money for me!!

sigh.. I hate this feeling of anxiety each time we sit for any college exams or a levels exam. each results might jeopardise our future-joking.. just our scholarship. Anything works with money.. Money speaks louder than words.Don't you guys out there agree with me??

Someone described me as a skinny girl with shrivelled-looking shoulders.. IT IS AS IF I"M A WiltiNG PLanT!!! argh!! The cheek he has, that oops i forgot his name. How does a skinny girl like me get fatter without any adddition to the cellulite or fats i have on my body?? I did not ask for this.

This is crazy. I dreamnt about a guy i don't even really know twice last night. That day he asked me what song i wanted him to play for me with a guitar on his hand.. If only i'd say something and not let my curiosity roam around this way. Then maybe i won't have these sweet dreams. It's scaring me.

Happiness is like a butterfly which, when pursued, is always beyond our grasp, but, if you will sit down quietly, may alight upon you.

the cemetry calls

hm..i went to the cemetry yesterday...in the bright daylight of couse!! Who ever dares to walk through the silent valley up the hill with tombstones around them?? With the creepy wind sounds..and the hairs at the back of our necks standing... All sorts of images coming into our mind, white flowing figures whispering to us....it's all in the mind:> At least i hope so until i see one...
I spotted a broken tombstone..and wondered what really happened to it?? Unfinished business in the living world? Or avengers who can't get him since he has crossed over to the other side?? or is it that there is a killer lurking in the shadows...unsatisfied... My imagination ran wild.. curious as i am, i asked my aunt and was requested to shut my mouth..needless to say, it's superstitious??

see the hands of the dead reaching out to us....

Then my wise granny told me, perhaps.. they found that the feng shui there is not good for his soul. They might have dug out his grave to incinerate his body and keep his ashes elsewhere where he could lay in peace... hm... i wonder..oh i do wonder..is it really that way??What made them think the "feng shui" of that place ain't good?? The deceased haunted his living ones in their dreams??

pretty cool tombstone eh??

getting personal

i do not want to fall into another moment of your gravity...
-gravity- by sara bareilles but i just can't stop myself..

i realise how some people can be so mean sometimes...and somehow i regret i had to be there to see the ugly side of them exposed to me... backstabbing, gossiping, sadists...

i saw u from a distance, the tune you were playing to...
draw my steps nearer to you... my favourite song..
all of a sudden, my eyes narrows down its focus to you alone...
excitement ran in my blood and i exclaimed...
and then you turned around, our gazes locked... but i don't remember who u are....

the beauty of the world overlooked

I get lost in the beautyOf everything i see
The world ain’t as half as bad
As they paint it to beIf all the sons
If all the daughters
Stopped to take it in
Well hopefully the hate subsides and the love can begin
It might start now.Well maybe I’m just dreaming out loud

when one gets reflective

Here's Bukit Tabur my big brother brought me too before he finally went overseas... it actually came out in the newspaper last sunday. He should really read this: If you’re scared of heights, you should give Tabur a miss. Apparently i'm one of those and i got called a sissy:<>
Sometimes we reach a point in life where we find out finally that our interest may not necessarily be our strength in life. I guess i've just reached mine. Sadly though i ponder about my choices in life, trying to make up excuses not to give up on my interest, but day by day, i realise my proficiency in english is not sufficient for me to continue battling my way through the subject. sigh..

I miss the memories we had during some netball school training. it doesn't matters if i'm not a professional as long as i train my best and give out my best, the ending will always be happy if not bittersweet. But then is then, now is now. Life gets harder as we grow up and mature. Our desires should not exclude our consience or else we will end up doing the wrong things in life. wow..This is scary, i'm becoming so reflective all of a sudden..so unlike the usual Caryn.

hey gesh!! I think I've just come to know a friend just like you. your ravinder guy??still remember him?hehe.. I miss the good old days when gesh will always be picked on by me and my fellow girlfriends... Someday we'll meet up again?? and maybe prank call some guys...whoever is the unlucky one..tsk tsk..haha..

with my hair all tousled and brains all wishy-washy

Staring at the blank screen,
straining my eyes and brains,
to come out with something substantial
for my coursework,
but my creativity juice is running out...
SOMEBODY HELP ME!!!!

I need a title for my english literature coursework. should i write about the course of revenge or about villainy which is so hard to prove unless i'm manipulative??

My big bro is back:>

wow!!

Holidays came and gone before i even had a chance to enjoy it:<>

Once we reached there, i guess without control i fell into the sin of gluttony. Dishes of ikan bakar, fried chicken wings, and squids, in a total of 30 minutes got wobbled up by this greedy girl here. sigh...no wonder my tummy has expanded. why am i eating like that? because in my house, there's onli healthy food.. now that given the chance, why not utilise it to satisfy my junk food appetite? rational right?

In the night,me and my cousins had a great and wonderful karaoke time in my aunt's room. so fun it was that i sang until my throat became dry. hm..maybe i should practice more on singing chinese songs.

My big Brother is finally home!! thus that can explain the extra noises in my house. What noise? With his usual tricks, he disturbed me with all sorts of stuffs until i go crazy.. lol. i've certainly missed him after two years he's finally back from chicago.

lookie here!! his home-coming gift. one night after he returned? his ass became itchy that he has to cure it by having some bike rides at a park in putrajaya. he did a few dare-devil jumps, and fell.

this brother of mine is always searching for new thrills i guess.. he even went sky diving twice without inviting me, his only beloved sister... so mean!!

Craved for sleep but when i get abundance of time for it??the crave is gone

Life has been pretty much a buzz in my ears as we've been having surprise tests from day to day. my panda eyes are becoming more and more apparent.. sob:< i'm facing a dilemma here.. should i or shouldn't i drop english literature? its so tough... and the hw given is such a headache!! even my parents don't want to influence me anymore on it, giving me the full responsibility of making this decision. help!!!

Lord, give me the eyes to see what is good and what is best for me...

Thursday was our last day at college, james, reysha, colin and I went off on another adventure to the movies watching one of the top rated movies of all time:"up". Truthfully, I can't believe I'm watching this movie. hehe..I guess i'm still young at heart?(childishly she giggles) it is quite hilarious albeit the fact its ultimately predictable that i almost fell asleep. Now that holidays has finally started, i find myself dreading it and longing for college to start again.

Disappointments for some, celebrations for the rest

Esctasy is riding high on Caryn-land.. lol.. Our a levels first semester exam results came out. What a shocking news we all received. Mixed reactions could be seen at MCKL's hall and corridors. The worse thing was, cruel Miss Betsy made us wait for one whole hour before we could get our hands and eyes on our own results.

Imagine our anxiety and impatience, sorry gay keong, we couldn;t concentrate on your presentation. When i finally saw my results slip...I was jumping up and down like a monkey..haha.. I CAN't Believe my eyes!!! I got a C for my english literature. its wonderful indeed I didn't get the BIG FAT disappointing 'U'(failed) like my trials. 60 marks, an incredible miracle,Praise the lord...considering that i only got half of that for my trials.

Being extremely high and all skippy, i stumbled on my own foot and almost trip in front of my crush:< TIME FOR CELEBRATION!! YIPPPEEEE!!! my parents are so happy about my results, they made time to bring me out for a movie at sunway pyramid:> gosh, i can't stop smiling.

Ghosts of girlfriend's past is a total blast!! i love it:> 'You can't always run away from your past' very true indeed!! this playboy certainly broke hundreds of women' hearts just because he is afraid to get hurt again, he crosses out the word"commitment from his vocabulary.. hm.. a note to myself: don't get attracted too much to the bad guys...

Connor, who've never believed in love is then visited by the girlfriends past, present, and future which the experience changes his attitude and allows him to reconnect with Jenny, his first love who broke his heart.. awww!! so sweet!! In my opinion, the ending is so predictable yet quite impossible though for that to happen in reality. A PLAYER CAN NEVER CHANGE. fullstop.

good guys vs. the villains

Time for entertainment.
Anthony,Vanessa, Reisha, Samuel, Jason and I decided to catch a movie and skip cf(naughty naughty, whose fault?? sam's). It's too bad benedict can't come too eh, vanessa?? Anthony is the best gentleman:> he helped us carried our heavy accounting text books all the way.. thanks, anthony!! what could we girls do without u??:P haha but no guys dared help me take my file, just because there's hints and hints of pink in it.lol.

G.I Joe had loads of action and is a total guys' movie. The plot is a little too disappointing: its our typical bad guy destroying the world to conquer it when people turn to them, and the good guys stopping these from happening. The weaponries used are quite modern and impressive. Unfortunately, the characters pose no attractions.. no hot guys:<

there's something about the way u look at me.. that makes me wonder..

Emo-ing time

Was so tired today. Thought of trying to wiggle my way out of madame's last minute monthly test, told her that i was planning to take English literature as a subject for interest but not taking their exams. Too bad, madame said:you shall take this as another pleasurable exercise then.. SWT...

Because of my lil' trick of wiggling out of exam? Madame had a talk with me after class to discuss my options..

Needless to say i was late to accounts class next. First minute i stepped in, WHY are YOu late? With 30 or so pairs of eyes staring at me, i blurt out my reasonable excuse, the next thing i know? The whole class burst out laughing at me..For what reason, i have no idea. thank god I'm pretty blur then. If not, embarrassed I'll go scarlet pink and stumble on my way to my place, that'll be super embarrassing.

A little penny for my thoughts

Start in English and end in English
By KAREN CHAPMAN and RICHARD LIM
PERTH (Australia): The Cabinet has decided that students who started studying Mathematics and Science in English can continue to do so until the end of their secondary education.
Education Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin said the students had also the option of answering questions in either English or Bahasa Malaysia.

At least, our education minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin is not an arrant fool. Allowing the students who've studied science and mathematics in english for years to continue doing so will be wise. Otherwise would be a foolish decision. I'm pretty sure some if not all malaysian parents would be delighted by this news that his visit to perth to study the way their education works has brought him to view his previous decision in a different light and make this decision(his 'soft landing' to the students).

Literature in English is certainly an expensive subject to take. It not only digs your pockets empty, but also squeeze your brain juices dry for its exams.

The imprint on the surface of the book is certainly one of the most interesting ones i've seen so far:P I love the little angels with their miniature wings stretching from their shoulders. As for the large human being centred in the picture, i have no idea of its gender. Its face looks like a guy but its body suggests the other way.. hm..hm.. Samuel was seriously staring at it..haha.. This cover is seriously 'attractive', no doubt the artist is smart in capturing our attention. lol

Was watching Hamlet's movie just now during our lessons, omg, if you can just imagine how big my mouth went agape when Laertes kissed his sister hard on the mouth just to say goodbye. Speaking of incest, even though i live in the 21st century, this is way beyond my acceptance, a brother french-kissing his own sister. Outrageous!!

As if the inappropriate brother-sister kissing part wasn't enough, Hamlet appeared in another scene in the movie trying to advice his mom against bedding the current king(her late husband's own brother). Nothing much is wrong about that albeit the location of the advicing part:the Queen(his mother's bed.) he stood there shaking his mom by the shoulders, make her see sense, but his body's position is a little too wrong, his knees around her hips..hm... i shall not go into the details.. Hamlet, are you really that desperate, you can do that to your own mother?? People certainly weren't joking when they say taking english literature requires an open mind. lol.

Will you believe all these??

I read a really interesting story i'd like to share. As if having a strong crush over a girl who's supposed to be born in the 16th century ain't weird enough, he even went to the extent of buying a lock of her hair on an auction for 20k(my goodness!! his love must be strong enough to let him part with 20K!!). With that hair, he cloned her out as a wish for her to be his own(gf), however things go really wrong from there. cool!! If only clonning was allowed in malaysia, then maybe i can clone hmm..that actor Cormac Maclaggen from Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince too!! He's so irresistably cute!!

How would you react when i tell you that u're actually a frog, who has evolved into a human after several generations? and the reason why you don't know about that is because, u're made to think that way? the other reason why you can't jump like a frog is because our mindset tells us we're humans and we can't do that? that is so weird! unbelievable!! i still prefer the version that god made us from dust, sounds much more dignified.

an overdose of Shakespeare can make me go bonkers

after poring over Hamlet over classes,
Here's my lame attempt:

hillo ho ho,
shakespeare o' shakespeare,
why art thou's language
so hard to comprehend,
n thus doubts me,
if thy poems are meant to
be as a code deciphered it,
or kept as a mere diary.

Time o' time,
why art thou such a scarcity,
8 hours lost to maiden's sleep,
9 to lectures,
4 hours to assignments,
what's left for my leisure?
so many things to accomplish,
yet so little time.

A different beauty in old cities(Montreal,17 june)

Once I step foot onto the Basilica of Notre Dame, my mouth went agog. The interior of the basilica is breathtaking. I wish I could post all the photos of it so that you could share my excitement too, but this post can’t contain too many unfortunately. This music-miracle-sounding organ consists of a remarkable amount of 7000 pipes. The melodious tunes it played soothes the ear of even a music-illiterate like me would admire.

It is too bad that it has turned into a tourist hot spot instead of solely being a place of worship where Christians celebrate mass.

Since writing this blog requires a bit of a general knowledge about the old Montreal city, i did a little research. Forgive me, bro..i wasn't listening when you were explaining about Montreal's attractions. I found out one shocking revelation. Based on Wiki travel, Montreal is an extremely inviting destination for gay and lesbian tourists and it is arguably the most gay-friendly city in North America other than San Francisco. So, heterosexuals, be careful you don’t give out the wrong signals. U might find a homosexual chasing after you instead.

Next, we drove all the way to park opposite Biodome De Montreal. FYI, Biodome De Montreal was constructed to host judo and cycling events for 1976 Olympic games. It’s an honor indeed to be there to witness the stadium myself which now stands as a visitors witness place to four replicas of different ecosystems in America.

Following Aunt Marie’s suggestion, determined we were to taste Montreal’s most famous smoked meat. As for its recipe? Can’t tell you, because I only know how to enjoy good food, not cook them. its not like a beef steak but truly juicy and you could taste herbs' fragrance while feasting through it.

This good Samaritan local here pointed to us the best smoked meat establishment in Montreal: Schwartz Hebrew Delicatessen. Wikipedia says Smoked meat, also known as salt beef in London, is cured, spiced, and flavored in ways similar to corned beef. Difference in meat cut and spicing mean that smoked meat's taste is different from either of these, and even varies among recipes.

Never Knew Objective questions could come in 'fill in the blanks' form

Wow! Datin Nadarajah can really change the rules of things sometimes. She told us we're having an objective test, and WA LA..a big 50 fill in the blanks questions.. amazing that no one even complaint(predictable actually).

In english literature class today, i finally had a chance to show people what i'm made out of..Speaking so wonderfully about what the poet is putting across, and suddenly, madame CUT ME OFF..wat?!?!?! she seriously interrupted my moment of glory!!

Speaking of literature, let me tell u about a metaphysical poem i read about, titled the flea by john dunne. Basically metaphysical poetry which sounds cool is a mind-boggling poetry that creates absurd parallel between two different things. just like this one: the flea is compared to a sexual union. Let your imaginations run wild with this.

Marke but this flea, and marke in this,
How little that which thou deny'st me is;
Me it suck'd first, and now sucks thee,
And in this flea our two bloods mingled bee;

gross right? The persona actually writes a poem just to convince his partner to have sex with him. Such a desperado. When a flea sucks ur blood n then my blood, our blood fuses in it and u're no longer a virgin, that's so absurd. A flea is a parasite, goodness me, and a sexual union, something so sacred is being degraded to this extent. I feel so disgusted by him.

New Semester, New challenges

A few shocks shook the earth Caryn stood on when the new semester recommences:

1st bomb: Economics Unit 2 will compose of 100% subjective questions(dead meat!)

2nd bomb: Datin Nadarajah(the fierce tigress)is teaching us Malaysian Studies(unlucky!)

My first impression of her when she walked into our class? An authoritative figure in which her eyes alone can silence the crowd. Dun ever be late!! Even a minute past class time, U can Kiss your lesson goodbye and spent it moulding at the library. If you're absent, better equip yourself with a reasonable excuse when she asks.

3rd minor bomb: I have to write a thesis Essay about Hamlet and the Duchess of Malfi comprising of 2000 words(although I'm good at crapping, but a sound meaningful crap for 2000 words?unbelievable!not to mention impossible..but its indeed a challenge I'd like to embark upon)

crossing The United States border

niagara on the lake
niagara park's floral clock

a farm we passed

its 9pm but the sun just set..pretty.. i

Torronto, canada, 15th june-16thjune
ho ho!! We finally crossed the border. Canada, here i come!! Another few more hours to travel till we reach torronto, my dad's cousin sis's place. Omg, its pretty, their house i mean...no gates no alarm system, nothing.. unlike malaysia.. lol..guess they dun have any snatch thefts or burglars at all. which is true, those crime perpetrators are the teeenagers looking for fun. i would like to live in a neighbourhood like that. and their garden is so wide you can even fit a swimming pool in it. sigh..such luxury...
if u're an arhitect, u'll love torronto. each houses u pass have different styles and features. every house is unique in its own way reflecting each owner's tastes. although some looks abit quaint, i love them the way they are and how they maintain it. i can promise you, stroll along or drive through the whole neighbourhood, u can find no houses the same.

next day moving on, we woke up early in the morning, i chose to bathe at the wrong hour..its freezing like hell..whole body got numb from the shower. the sprinklers were watering the plants then and the whole house has only one water source, so yeah!
niagara on the lake was the first place we got to. and camwhore time comes:> its beautiful but the picture did little justice to its beauty. niagara falls next is more breathtaking.we hunted through the wineries around to get some gifts for my auntie marie and alas, iced wines made the best. we felt a little intimidated they actually had a wine cellar at their house.

my brother finally graduated..

i'm so sorry for not introducing why i'm blogging only recently. so rude of me. it's my brother's idea for me to actually record our events during our three week holiday in US and Canada. although at the rate of how i'm writing now, i do not know how am i even gonna manage to finish sharing with u guys my experience all those days.

chicago,14th june:

its ironic we missed two masses on sundays to church and manage to visit 3 churches on the weekdays. forgive me, god..

because of my mom's ambition to attend my brother's graduation mass? we ended up with our whole day gone in church.. later, we rushed to Aurora premium outlet mall for another shopping spree. wee hoo! girls can really go crazy shopping. even guys too i hope? sob..after one hour there? it closed...at 6..how can they be so cruel?unfortunately its a sunday, and they close early on sundays...sob sob..

hehe...at least we got three Coach handbags... i got one for myself too for quarter its price, not bad right? for 50us dollars.. that gave me a smile even though i din get myself any clothes:>

sigh..a win without playing

I had high hopes to play against the july batch in the inter-cohort games for netball in MCKl. Unfortunately, the july batch had not enough players.. thus, we won without even playing. Sob sob.. I really wanted to exert myself on the field to improve my-long-time-karat skills. next time then!!

All we did was just a few random goal shooting at the goal posts with vanessa, tanuja and ying ying UNDER THE BLAZING HOT SUN. Yes, u heard right.. sigh..i seriously need some tan for my legs...it looks so ghostly..

Gosh, the education department really has nothing else to tamper with? Teaching science and mathematics in BM? No offence, i have no hatred nor contempt for our national language. But comitting such an act will just bring us further backwards since the world is more familiar in english. I sympathise with all those juniors. thank god, my secondary school studying days have gone by.

Chicago,13th june

outside all state arena,chicago
Millenium park

chicago's skyline on the reflection

the artist's ingenius painting of The Bean and chicago's skyline

my brother and my parents

chicago's icon:the bean

Millenium Park came next. We had a chance to witness chicago's icon: The Bean. Its highly polished stainless steel surface gives the look of liquid mercury.Up close, the highly reflective nature of the sculpture captures the beautiful skyline of Chicago.
Its pretty cool the artist is able to draw out the skyline exactly continuos from the reflection of The Bean.

Because of my mom's insistence, we all wake up at 11 in the morning to attend my brother's graduation mass at the church of De Paul. The ceremony is so grand, added with the orchestra music playing along as the graduates came in the entrance. It was certainly worth the lost sleep at home :P

When the mass ended, we went for a lunch at chipotle, mexican food, yummy. My mom had a burrito wrap, while i had the same fillings in taco chips served with salsa sauce.

I now learnt one thing about American's tipping system.

For restaurants that no one serves you, no waitress, you do not need to pay tips. If u're served, its a tradition to pay tips. 15%of your whole bill if u're very satisfied.. 10% means you're not.

And if you don't pay any tips?U have to clean up after yourselves. Meaning: cleaning the table and throwing your wrappers away. Cool right? 1 more thing, Americans love to do things their way:

1.the driver's seat is on the left

2.u choose your ingredients when u order for food

3. you can turn right on red light
4.the motorcycles have their own lane just like a car. That means no mat rempit, cuz they can't swerve between lanes.

At the end of the day, we went to watch the blue man group perform. They're a bunch of vivacious and creative man trying to create music with rubber pipes and plastic pails. Its pretty cool they could engage the audience attention and get them to engage in some rock moves. Besides, different sounds are created by these pipes.. according to their length and width. All performance ticket collection even goes to charity.

Chicago,12th-15th of june

When our plane touched down at o'hare airport, the only familiar person i saw was my brother. He hasn't changed 1 bit since i last saw him, but the 1st thing i notice? his haircut sucks. according to him, this is the only haircut chicago has for guys. uh oh, nightmare!!

Chicago's skyline

12th june:
Presented here is chicago's skyline, this picture was taken when my family and i took the cruise under chicago's most famous rivers at sunset. The air is pretty chilly there(its 10 degrees celcius) while the tour guide explained to us about the history of chicago.
Wrigley's building
Wrigley's originial product is not the famous chewing gums we know nowadays. But their original plan was to produce soaps and add a chewing gum on top as an added attraction. However, the Wrigleys soon discovered that their customers buy their products just to enjoy the taste of the chewing gum, whereas the soap is thrown aside. Thus, ta da! wrigley's chewing gum is now their major product.
Could u believe that? and i never knew Navy pier from a distance

The other buidings she talked about?I forgot.

reason: 1.It is too dark to see the building she's talking about.

2. I'm shivering from the cold winds blowing at my face(p.s:i'm wearing three layers already).

3.Im half asleep(jet lag) while she rambles on and on.

4.My stomach is already rumbling and its 8pm.

This brings me to food in The Cheesecake Factory, a very posh restaurant my smart brother brought us to. Since the specialty is cheesecake, we all ordered different taste and each bite we took, our plate is passed on to another family member. The cheesecake is pure indulgence and as i took each bite greedily, a guilty conscience pops up:this is fattening, but i don't care..its delicious.. guess which plate is mine? With my greedy nature, of course it's the one bitten most. what a good way to end the day:pure indulgence for the stomach.:>
